NEXCOM Contract Awarded

On April 6th, 2000 a five year, 5 million dollar government contract was awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to BCI for Software Engineering and Support Services for the Next Generation Air Ground Communication (NEXCOM) program. This work includes specification generation, requirements analysis, software prototyping, monitoring, scheduling and planning of the test and evaluation (T&E) activities, and T&E documentation development, maintenance of the NEXCOM VDL Mode 3 Sub network Testbed. Additionally, technical engineering support services will be required for supporting interfaces into the Aeronautical Telecommunications Network (ATN).

BCI, established in 1981, is a systems and software engineering company with specialization in Network Communications, Radar, Command and Control, Weapons Control, Weather Systems, Naval Combat Systems and Human Factors Engineering. The principal location for performance under this contract will be in Washington Township, New Jersey (BCI Software Development Center), with onsite work being performed at the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC).
