FAA Division wins $32 Million Support Contract

On March 20, 2001 the Advanced Technology Branch (ACT-350) of the Communications, Navigation, and Surveillance Division of the William J. Huges Technical Center awarded Basic Commerce and Industries, Inc. (BCI) a 7-year contract for technical engineering support services valued at $32 million. BCI is supported by Enroute Computer Solutions (ECS) of Egg Harbor Township for Air Traffic Control applications, NTI Incorporated of Dayton, Ohio for Human Factors development, Certicom of Mississauga, Ontario for cryptographic and other security applications, and Data Systems Analyst, Inc. (DSA) of Pennsauken, NJ for aeronautical message handling systems.

These activities apply to various programs supported by ACT-350 such as Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC), the Aeronautical Telecommunications Network (ATN) infrastructure, and National Airspace System (NAS) security.
