On March 3rd, 2003, Basic Commerce & Industries, Inc. (BCI) was awarded a support contract from EDS Corporation under the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Information Technology (IT) contract. This is a one year contract, valued at over 1 million dollars. BCI will support end-to-end information services, enterprise-wide, to the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps through a common computation and communication environment.  BCI provides Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and CISCO Certified personal to support system and software interoperability and information exchange for garrisoned and deployed forces as well as individual users.
